Client
Hambleton District Council runs four Zest leisure centres - in Northallerton, Bedale, Stokesley and Thirsk. Open seven days a week they provide a range of sporting activities for people of all ages, needs and abilities - be that swimming , badminton, football and much more.
Brief
To introduce a sales culture to the staff at leisure Centres across Hambleton.
Work
A series of mystery shops were conducted across all sites. Prospective membership enquiries were carried out through, web, telephone and face to face enquiries. From the points taken from these visits a base level was set, bespoke training was put together and support tools implemented.
Results
Month on month the teams at each centre are more confident and consistent in taking care of enquiries. New joiner targets are consistently achieved and the staff have adopted and continue to embrace the systems implemented.
